Adjusting Alignment of Table Cells

Summary: Place text in the cells of a table, and that text is normally aligned according to the paragraph formatting that existed before the table was created. If you want, you can adjust the text alignment to anything you want.
If you desire, you can independently specify the alignment of every cell in a Word table. Originally, the cell alignment matches the alignment of the paragraphs from which the table was created. You can override this, however, by using the paragraph alignment buttons in the Paragraph group of the Home tab of the Ribbon. Position the insertion point in the cell whose alignment you want to adjust, and then select one of the buttons.
